Howdy.
Spring semester at AAU started today!
That means I'll be getting back into my Steampunk/Old West/Horror thesis work full gear!
One thing I plan to do now will require really focusing on getting Bodacious Creed zombified in the first few weeks of the semester. I'm in Introduction to Rigging, and I plan to make a rigged, animate-able version of our good undead US Martial. I see my demo reel getting to a turntable of Creed, and at first he seems to be standing still. He goes from fully textured to wireframe over basic shading, and wait... is he swaying a bit, like he's really standing there? Then back to fully textured and, boy howdy! He just drew and shot his guns!
Adios.
As "Bodacious Creed: The Thesis," this blog followed the progress of my master's thesis at Academy of Art University, from initial concept to 3D modeling and texturing demo reel. It now follows the concept to completed novel.

dA Film
I just got some cool news this morning. I've been accepted as a member of the deviantArt Film Community! It's kind of a big deal, and not everyone who applies gets in. So I'll be posting Couch Zombies videos there as well as on our YouTube page.
Indeed, there will be more on Bodacious Creed soon, with school starting in a week.

AAU Rocks
Have I mentioned how much I love my school?
Academy of Art University rocks, and I studying there. I recommend it all the time to people who want to make a career out of their art.
The reason I'm talking up AAU right now is because we students just got an awesome new benefit. There's this site called Digital Tutors, which has some of the best instruction for all sorts of art related software. Generally an individual needs to sign up for a DT account, and then can access all sorts of instruction.
AAU now has a group membership with DT, and AAU students can sign up under that membership and access all the instruction! This is really fantastic. AAU classes are top notch, but it always helps to study as much as one can on one's own. I've started on the zBrush and Maya tutorials to really fill in my knowledge.
I plan to be an exceptional modeler by the time I graduate. AAU just gave me another great tool to accomplish that.
